Mini Road Trip KLIA - MELAKA ( Part 2)

Hello again, so here's the continuation of my story from before.

So, on the 19th of March at 9.00 a.m we started our trip back on track. we filled up our gas and bought some snacks for the 2 hour drive. Alhamdullilah, the traffic was good on the highway. No accidents and no obstacles. We were using two cars, so we decided to drive at our own pace and meet up after the Melaka Tol.  The plan was " food hunting and sight- seeing in Melaka" .

First destination was 'Jonker 88' . It's a restaurant that's located at Jonker Walk. While we were driving and searching for parking, I noticed the old-looking shops, that shows the originality  of how the city was. A trip down memory- history lane you might say?. The cities now are fulled of skyscrapers and big tall buildings with the buzzing of hectic everywhere, sometimes we just need to slow down our pace and live in the moment, a moment in time a moment of life.

After quite some time, we had the chance to find a parking space with a payment fee of RM5  and by that time it was around 12.30 a.m and the sun was scorching hot. We took and umbrella and started walking , we used waze to find our way. By the time we were there, the restaurant was still packed as it was half an hour ago and there was a really long line of people lining up to order. Some of us tag a place to eat and some of us ordered.

It was a simple shop, nothing grand like those 5 star restaurant, but the food was really good like no kidding. Suzy ordered our food. Some of us had asam laksa and some of us had mee curry and there was one original cendol and one mango cendol. The asam laksa was delicious, the taste was to perfection. The mee curry was also really good, it had a balance of creamy yet savory taste that had a very good combination with the yellow mee. From a rating of 5 , I'll give it a 5. Good food needs to appreciated. We even shared a table with a Japanese family, even they complimented the food.

After the satisfying meal, we went to a shop called Hokkaido Ice cream but unfortunately it was not opened yet. So we walk around sight seeing around Jonker Walk took pictures. After some time, we decided to go to Big Bowl Ice. We ordered two big bowl of ice and mineral water, a cold delicious dessert is needed for a hot day.

The clock was at 3pm  by the time we finished our desert, it was the time to go home. Wan was going back alone. Nadia sent Suzy back and then also sent us back to ALAM and she and Syafiqah drove back to KL.

Overall, it was a good experience. It's nice to unwind yourself and have a good time once a while. Good friends, good food ,memorable memories and happiness , It was indeed a good weekend.

So, that's the end of my mini road trip story. Hope you guys enjoy reading it.
