Assalamualaikum and good day guys. Welcome again in our class blog. It had been a pleasure to share good information among us. We will continue sharing things that can bring benefit to ourselves and other people too.

A captain responsible to sails his ship through rugged seas and ocean of fire.

                  So today, I would like to share about  role or  responsibilities of a man who are the most important and the most respectable on a ships, a man holding the post as a Captain.
On ships, captain is the most highest rank and the one who command the ships. He is a role model to the officers and crew on ships. The captain is directly responsible for ensuring ship safely and successfully carries out its functions.

                  A captain is in charge of his officers and crew. He must possesses excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with and give orders to his subordinates. Captains are also responsible for payroll, working hours, addressing crew grievances, and monitors the performance of crew member.                    As a captain, you must have an intimate understanding of whatever vessel you are in charge of. You are ultimately responsible for the safety, well-being and proper maintenance of the ship. you must be vigilant about the condition of everything on board the ship and make regular rounds to ensure all equipment is functioning.
                  As the highest-ranking officer on the ship, any illegal activity on the ship ultimately falls at the feet of the captain. So, the captain must have an intimate understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the crew's activities. Captains also are directly responsible for the extensive record-keeping that is commonly required for any ship.
                  The captain is the main representative of the ship. A captain must maintain direct communication with your superiors on land. On the other side, you will communicate orders and relevant information to the crew.
                   The duties of a captain as a leader on board ship is not limited to the point that I mentioned above. As the saying " Berat mata memandang, berat lagi bahu yang memikul".  So that's all for my entry. Thank you for your time.

The Father of Independence of Malaysia

 Assalamualaikum and good day again.

 It had been 60 years for Malaysia been independence from British. Let us go through the years where
our first prime minister, Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah II, leads a group of representative to London to hold constitutional talk in 1956. As a Malaysian, we should be proud of our ancestors struggle and effort to protect our country.
 As I was only been born to this world after Malaysia have achieve independence, we the young generation nowadays might not know how difficult life was before. So I would like to share several leadership value that we can learn from Tunku Abdul Rahman, the father of independence of Malaysia:

1. Choosing the right decision for future.

During his time where Communist Party was a threat, Tunku rejected pleas from the party to be treated as a legitimate party that would compete alongside other parties. During that time, many atrocities was committed including the assassination of British High Commisioner, Sir Henry Gurney, and terrorist attack on civilians and public infrastructure.

      2. Wins battle peacefully.

He also succeeded in winning our independence peacefully, as on 8 Feb 1956, Tunku and Alan Lennox Boyd signed the agreement which secure our freedom from British. When the clock struck midnight on August 31 1957, the Union Jack was lowered, signifying the end of British rule. After centuries under the colonial rule, the Malay peninsula stood on equal footing with other nations as an independent state.

      2. Be an advocate for unity and harmony.

To promote unity, Tunku took an active role in many regional and global initiative. He played the key role in the founding of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation for promoting solidarity among Muslim-majority country. He also played a major role in forming ASEAN.

The Causes and Effect of Poor Leadership

In any organization, there should be a leader. This role is important as leader plays the key role to manage, supervise, motivate, dealing with important figure, and responsible for organization's future. It is undeniable that to deal with others, especially our subordinates or workers, can be difficult sometimes, but a good leader can manage all of this. 

   There are many causes or factors that lead to poor leadership. This can lead to distrust among our subordinates, which can affect the organization in achieving towards the main objectives. These causes including but not limited to:

1. Communication issues.
2. Lack of responsibilities and no initiative.
3. Low motivation.
4. Problems managing peers.
5. Bad attitude.
6. Poor relationship.

   So in order to become a successful leader, try to avoid this problems. The most important thing you need to do to be one is make a lot of reading especially in this stuff as there are more causes that I don't listed here. 

   So, what is the effect of poor leadership? Below I list a few point of its effects:

1. Lack of motivation among employees.
2. Unable to achieve organization goals.
3. Low quality of performance.
4. Lack of trust to leaders.
5. Causing stress and negative environment.

 There are other bad effect of poor leadership that we don't want to encounter in an organization or at work. Last but not least, as a leader we should trained ourselves to have a good attitude and always  be ready to be responsible to anything that happened in our organization. With that, it can be a great contribution towards our parents, family, company, society and our beloved nation. 

The Legendary Defender

  Assalamualaikum and good day everyone. So for my second entry in this blog I'm gonna share on how to become a good and successful leader, in a point of view of  a legendary football captain of Chelsea and England (previously) which I admire the most, John Terry.

  Before I go to the main point, let me introduce a bit on his background. John Terry is a professional football player, commonly play in position as centre-back. He is well known for his aggressive tackling, positioning, leadership, and his ability to read the game. He is currently playing for Aston Villa. Before joining Aston Villa, he was playing for Chelsea FC for about 19 years. As a captain, he had won five premier league title, four FA cup, three league cup, one UEFA Europa League, and one UEFA champions league title since 2004.

  These achievement making him the most successful Chelsea's captain. According to him, which I extract from the web www.fourfourtwo.com, there are several attitude that you need to have and develop in order to become a successful leader.

1. You don't ask for respect, but earn it.
2. Be honest with each other.
3. Know your mates.
4. Guide,motivate and encourage the others.
5. Stay calm and in control.

  

LEADERSHIP

How are you guys? It has been quite a time since the last time I open this blog, maybe about 5 months ago. So, today I gonna write about leadership. There were many leaders nowadays that are successful with business, career and lives which can be a good role model for us. 

    What is the definition of leadership? According to wikipedia, leadership is both a research area and a practical skill encompassing the ability of an individual or organization to lead or guide other individuals, teams, or entire organization. Meanwhile according to US academic environments, leadership is defined as a process of social influence in which a person can enlist the aid and support of others in the accomplishment of a common task.

      According to European researcher Daniele Trevisani, there are several factors that can combine into leadership, include:

1. higher level of physical power and control others or a group members for a powerful group protector.
2. Superior mental energies and motivational forces, perceivable in communication and behaviors.
3. Higher abilities in managing the overall picture.
4. Higher abilities in specialized tasks.
5. Higher ability in managing the execution of a task.
6. Higher level of values, wisdom, and spirituality.

CHRISTMAS DAY EVENT

Assalamualaikum and good evening guys... This is during the Christmas celebration on board my first ship, Seri Alam. During that day all ship's crew were given a holiday by our Captain, Alfrancis Ilao, a Filipino guy.

My Captain has asked the Chief Cook to served a good food. As you can see in the picture, there are plenty mouth watering food. We have grilled chicken and lamb. We have steamboat. For desert, there are plenty cakes.

At night, my Captain has asked all four cadets including me to organised a game for the crew. We had no idea at first, then someone suggest us to play BINGO games and Dart. So, at that night we play together with all officers and crew onboard.

The winner of that BINGO games were given a hamper, all the chocolates and drinks in that hamper was shared together among us. It is one of the best moment during my first shipboard training. All the officers and crew were very helpful and kind to each other.

POTONG SAWIT

Hai guys !! Hari ni saya nak share sikit mengenai aktiviti saya 2 minggu sekali.. Setiap minggu saya balik ke rumah kalau tak ade aktiviti kt ALAM. Tapi 2 miggu sekali saya mesti tolong ayah saya potong sawit di kebun.

Saya dah terbiasa ikut ayah saya pergi potong sawit sejak kecil. Tapi dulu ayah saya yang potong sawit, saya cuma tolong buang pelepah sawit je. Sekarang saya dan ayah saya potong sawit, abang saya buang pelepah sawit.

Potong sawit ni memang penat. Lebih-lebih lagi masa bulan puasa, memang tercabar iman. Ade 3 tempat saya kena pergi potong sawit, semuanya di Muar sahaja. Kebun ayah saya di Ayer Hitam, ini tempat paling mencabar. Tanahnya gambut, kaki senang terbenam dalam tanah. Especially masa musim hujan. "Babi" hutan pun banyak kt situ. Banyak kolam kt situ sebab "dia" gali.

Tempat paling saya suka potong sawit kt Parit Bunga. Pokok kt situ masih rendah-rendah lagi. Saya potong pakai pahat ayah saya potong pakai sabit.

Mata sabit kena serong sikit baru boleh potong, kalau tegak je memang tak putuslah pelepah tu.

Hati-hati masa pelepah dah putus, klau terkena duri pelepah tu menangislah jawabnye..

Lepas buah dah jatuh, angkat masuk kereta sorong.

agak-agak kereta sorong dah penuh, bawak kt tempat kita kumpul sawit tu.

Sini tempat lori akan berhenti dan amik sawit kita untuk ditimbang.

Habis potong sawit biasanya ayah saya belanja makan cendol. Fuhhh memang hilang penat terus. Sampai rumah makan je ape yang ade kt warung mak. Hahahaha

FIFA TOURNAMENT

FIFA TOURNAMENT @ HARI SUKAN DAN BELIA

So guys how r doing ? i hope u r all doing good . I think this will be last time i, fiqree hazaldin updating blog because soon we all will be having our final examination. So, we need to packup and socre during examination . So guys, yesterday i went to Stadium Hang Jebat . im sure most of u all heard about this name. Yesterday was Hari Sukan Dan Belia and i went overthere to accompany my friend for his fifa tournament. Im sure most of u guys a good in playing fifa right ? ahha ! There fee is around 25 bucks and there was 32 contestant. I didn't participate because i know im still not good enough in gaming hahahaha . So , here we r . P/S all picture belong to Melaka United SA. u guys can follow them on facebook and also in instagram.

So guys i got to tell u that there is a lot of talented guys out there . Sadly my friend didn't make it . He lost just in grouping. No problems, i think no rezeki that he ll treat me kfc . hmm . That guy won Rm300. I think that is a good money to be win . Act, i wanna say that , eventough we win or we lost , the most important think is i enjoyed that tournament because we all over there like family brother family in one house. I can feel it. We are all very happy to join and participate in this tournament . K , until here maybe . Hopefully next time , we will see again guys ! bon voyage ! eh ?

So , good evening guys . Today i want to share something i found on google . how to dress nicely for mens ? So , lets just started .

Men’s Dress Shirts and Sweaters

Buy a slim fit dress shirt. Wearing a shirt that hugs your shoulders, waist, and chest will automatically create a slimmer image. Look for shirts in slim, extra slim, modern, or athletic fits. Be careful not to overdo the slim cut.

The shirt should fit comfortably without pulling, grabbing, or bunching in any visible area. The shirt is too tight if you can’t cross your arms of if the buttons are stressed during movement.

Wear V-neck sweaters in a thin knit. The V-neck creates the illusion of height and slims down the frame. Wear thin knit cotton, wool, (choose merino over lambs wool) cashmere, silk or other blends that sit high on the waist and hips and snug in the shoulders, chest and arms. Avoid thick knit, heavy and bulky sweaters as they only add weight to the man’s frame.

Men’s Pants, Trousers, Slacks and Jeans

Buy slim, flat or plain front pants in dark colors such as gray, and navy. Avoid pleats whenever possible. Flat or plain front pants give the man a cleaner waist and uses less material than pleats which add weight to the frame instead of shedding it. Wear pinstripes frequently.

 Men should wear pants, trousers, and slacks at their natural waist. The hem of the pant should break at the top of the shoe showing no sock when walking. Any longer and this creates a hefty look. Any shorter and the legs will look short and stocky instead of long and lean.

Men’s Shoes and Boots

Dress shoes should be of high-quality leather, thin-soled, and with a round toe. Avoid square toe, thick, rubber-soled shoes at all costs. Also avoid the extreme pointed toe as this is fashion statement and not true style.

Men’s Outerwear

 Choose topcoats, overcoats, jackets, parkas, and other outerwear in the same size as your suit jacket. Many men make the mistake of buying outwear too large. This creates excess material that makes the man look heavier than he is.

Buy top coats and overcoats that stop 3-4 inches above the knee and has no more than three buttons. This is the most flattering arrangement for a man trying to slim his figure.

Buy jackets that are one size above the size that is too small. Jackets should stop at the waist and sleeves should be kept shorter to lengthen the arms. Do not buy jackets with elastic waist bands. This adds weight to the midsection.
