Lucky Traveller

Good day everyone who's reading our class blog! I bid great appreciation at your willingness to visit our blog in the first place. Would like to share regarding my experience of visiting Middlesbrough during my intern at sea. Even in a short period of time somehow managed to get a good look at the place and for that alone I consider myself lucky.

To be exact on location, Middlesbrough is a large industrial town on the south bank of the River Tees, in North Yorkshire, North Eastern part of England. The town's coat of arms is an azure lion, from the arms of the Bruce family, a star, from the arms of Captain James Cook, and two ships, representing shipbuilding and maritime trade. It beholds Teesport, currently the third largest port in the United Kingdom, and amongst the tenth biggest in Western Europe. I was damn right lucky enough to had stayed in that port for eight days allowing to plan a little crusade of my own to try to explore Middlesbrough.

Among the bucket list of "to do things" was left quite satisfied in the end at least having to complete most of it of not all.

Slurped a Suggitt’s ice cream at Great Ayton, near Stokesley.
Could't get a pic cause was too busy tasting it!

Kicked leaves at Middlesbrough’s Stewart Park.Who am I kidding,                                                                 was instead laying back enjoying the scenery.                                                         The park also houses Captain Cook Birthplace Museum

Certainly not a Middlesbrough soccer team fan but this guy seems                                                                                                 to be a cult hero among the locals. Gotta pay tribute to Cloughie                                                              at Albert Park in Middlesbrough, afterall the park itself is enticing

Passing below the Millenium Bridge, the footpath weaves around the                                                                                            canals in a slightly frustrating manner.  Ahead and around the next bend                                          awaits the showstopper bridge, her graceful arcs skimming the blue.

Grand finale, isn’t she?  Crossing over the Infinity Bridge and                                                                                                                     gazing skywards, spellbound as ever by her beauty

Well, that's a wrap for now...Hope that by glimpsing through my experience at Middlesbrough, it will entice you all as well to visit it someday despite being a little too pricey for a budget trip. That being said, it's truly a wonderful place and will remain among the self-made list of best places that have visited...
