Camping for le juniors

Hello people!!! What’s up??? For this entry, I’d like to use # as many as I can so just bear with me. :). Every year, juniors are required to go for a camp where the purpose of this camp is to discipline and train them #physically #mentally. The seniors (us), we’ve had our camping when we're in semester 2 #zamanbotak2dulu. I must admit that the camp that we attended was so hellish yet fun but we took it positively. :)

The camping is always organised by Cyclone Break, a sea recreation club and it is one of the most active club in ALAM #recommended. Facilitators are mostly seniors (evil smile). hahahaha. At first, I did not want to be a faci but then my friend said (bukan selalu) hohohoho #sorrynotsorry.

On friday evening, we departed from ALAM at 1500H by bus, a few of them, the juniors were sleeping #bagichance hohoho. We arrived at the campsite at 1530H #DekatJe. Then they were instructed to line up properly, we gave a briefing to them about the rules and so on. After that, we arranged the campsite, bersihkan the semak and all, and setup a big tent for urusetia.

The next group arrived at 1730H, so we did the same thing to them like what we did to the first group. Dinner was sent by ADM (ALAM’s galley) since the campsite is not that far. They makan and after makan they solat. The first activity would be the presentation of their flag, cheers, group’s name. Its more to introduction.

So, the next activity was Compass Orienteering conducted by Aril aka pak chu.
This activity was very time consuming as it finished around 0340H the following day. Just imagine we started the the thing around 2200H. phewwwww. #mengantuk. Tbh, this activity was so interesting #evillaugh. Habis je the peserta were given rest and prepare for the next activity.

At 0630H, juniors were having their Physical Training session with Faci Afiq. Habis je PT they changed their clothes and prepared themselves for Survival. This activity was conducted by JJ Zanggi. Have you watched Bear Grylls, its a tv show on how to survive when you’re stranded or alone. Its almost the same as that one. Faci yg lain tidur and were preparing something for the next session dekat campsite urus setia.

PT jap, hahahaha

In the evening time, I and Jambui conducted a barbeque, we gave the juniors spiced raw chicken (2 for each group) and a fire starter. Their task was to make sure that the chicken is cooked. We allocated 2hrs for this activity. They used the kayu-kayan where they found it during the survival. After 2 hrs, I could say that all of the chickens were cooked well.

After that, they had this malam kebudayaan ( Cultural night). Each group presented their sketch nicely, I must say that it was seriously fun, all I could hear was laughter. Haahahahahaa. Then after the cultural night, we instructed them to get a rest #bagiRehatSekejapJe. Hohohoho. Faci yang lain were preparing things for Night Walk. We the faci, yg involved with this activity were dropped at different checkpoints, alone!!!! Can you imagine that. Hahahaha. #mengantuk #seramsikit. This night walk objective was to gain the juniors confidence.(walking without anything on them) hohohoho. Habis je that activity then semua returned to the campsite. So the head of faci instructed them to sleep and rest. Habis pun around 0400H. hohohoho.

LIT AF!!

On sleepy Sunday morning, I could hear very loud noise and it came from the obstacle field. It happened to be that they were having war games (baling2 mud in a plastic bag to the opponents). I could see happy faces. Hahahaa. After the game, they went to the beach for ‘how to make a raft’ session with the local instructor. Habis je this activity, they returned to the campsite, arranged everything, the tent and all, prize giving ceremony and headed back home. It was a very nice experience. :).
