Blondiessssss !



Assalamualaikum, Rise and shine peeps!

How are you doing? It's me the guy with extra-tanned skin, Aril. In this entry, I wanna share with you guys one of my favorite cookies (I’m not sure either we can consider it as cookies or not =D)
Have you ever heard about not-so-crunch BLONDIES?

"BLONDIES?"

I don't know how to explain what is BLONDIES, so the best way is .... you should try it! 

Nahhh, here are the ingredients needed which you can find it in the supermarket.
(Credit to my friend, Syamimi for this superb recipe 👏)

2 ¾ cups of flour (Faiza/Nona)
2 ½ tablespoons of baking powder (not soda bicarbonate okay)
½ tablespoon of salt
2/3 cup of butter, softened and unsalted (recommended Anchor or SCS brand)
220 grams of brown sugar
3 eggs (Grade A)
1 tablespoon of vanilla essence
250 grams of premium chocolate (personally I prefer Hershey’s 😁 *as per attached below)


To make your life easier, so here are some pictures of those ingredients and trust me, you can find it easily in bakery or supermarket nearby.

So guys, for accuracy purposes just in case the outcome might be stodgy, OR slightly different from what you are expecting (hahahahaha), it is best if we use proper tools for measuring.

So, now let’s proceed. We got some BLONDIES to deal with.

1    First of all, you might need a medium size bowl to mix flour together with baking powder and salt. Mix it well and toss the mixture.
Put it aside.

2   Prepare a mixer. Use it to mix butter and brown sugar until it becomes smooth and well blended. (you can use your hand to mix it but you might develop your muscle later on hahahaha)

3  Add egg one by one into the mixing bowl until you get homogeneous batter (consider success for the time being =D). Slowly add 1 tablespoon of vanilla essence. Mix it well.

4   Now it’s time to add the flour gradually into the mixture. Use spatula to mix it.

5  Hershey’s in action! Add the chocolate chips into the mixture as much as you want and mix it. Be careful otherwise you might crush the chips (“crush” is it?)

6   Spread into prepared baking pan (equipped with parchment paper) by using spatula.

7   Bake in preheated oven 170 – 180 degree Celsius for 30 minutes.


*use a wooden stick to check the BLONDIES. If there is no stain attached to the stick, means it is perfectly baked. 
*if not, baked it again inside the oven for another 5 – 10 minutes.
*cool it down and cut it into bite size.
